For You Little One Card
(More Than Words Mini Challenge)

I love challenges, and one of the most fun challenges out there is the Mini Challenge over at More Than Words!  It is about one word and lasts only one week, and here is my project this month!

The Mini word for January is ONE.

You can check out more DT inspiration on the More Than Words blog right HERE.
And to play along, don't forget that you have to include the word on a card, tag or ATC and share it on the More Than Words Facebook page by the end of the month!

Here are some close-ups:

I opted to use the word ONE on a baby-themed card.

I used upcycled some packaging material to use as a tag.

I hope you enjoy and you will play along!

Snow Much Sparkle
(Creative Scrappers #302)

The January sketch challenge for Creative Scrappers has been revealed at the start of the month right HERE and today is my turn to showcase my layout inspired by sketch #302.

Let's take a look at sketch #302... another fabulous sketch from Kristine Davidson!

As much as I do not enjoy Winter, I absolutely love creating Winter-themed layouts.  Snowflakes, sparkle, white frosty tips... I love it all!

In the image above, you can see my title that was created on layers of different tags.  Below, you see that I decided to overlay my distressed triangle shapes on my background and stitched them up just like patchwork.

I replaced the 3 pictures (which I didn't have) by rectangles of paper, thus adding colour and different patterns to my page.  I made the white swirls myself by just drawing them out on white cardstock and cutting them out, then popping them up on my page with 3D foam squares.

For someone who doesn't enjoy Winter, I sure looked happy on this picture! ha! I am always happy in good company, no matter the season!

Here's to hoping that you will play along with us this month, if not already done.

Vintage Memories (Kraft+ January Challenge)

I took a little hiatus from blogging for 2 weeks it seems, but I am back again today to share this fun vintage layout featuring a beautiful photo of my mom as a young girl riding her bike!

If you're familiar with the most prominent challenge blogs out there (and a lover of kraft!), you probably have guessed which challenge inspired this layout.  This month, Kraft+ is taking us on a creative ride and is asking for projects featuring a bike.  Click HERE for all the details!

I really love this challenge and couldn't pass it up, especially since I had the perfect photo for it!

I used some very bright and fun patterned papers from Simple Stories' Carpe Diem collection as well as this cute wooden bike from Kaisercraft.

I did some stamping, misting and stenciling on the kraft background.

Look at those side mirrors on my mom's bike!  Now that is an impressive ride!

Thank you for dropping by!

Celebration of Us
(More Than Words DT Reveal)

Here's to hoping that 2017 brings us all love, peace and happiness, and LOTS of creativity!!

This is my layout inspired by a brand new challenge at More Than Words!
Word Inspiration - CELEBRATE
Creative Challenge - BLING

You can view more details on this challenge right HERE on the More Than Words blog
and at the same time see loads of beautiful DT inspiration and amazing prizes up for grabs.

These pictures date back a few years, but were taken at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. We had, and still have this year, a lot to CELEBRATE, especially our happy life together.

The BLING creative challenge was so much fun!

As you can see, I have gone a little overboard with the rhinestones and the jewels.  But the instructions did say to 'Bling it On!' and that's what I did!

I also added a load of copper microbeads which bring a bit more sparkle to the mix.

Here's to us and to all of you for a fabulous 2017!!
